Crystal jewelry is made of many different types of minerals. It’s not the same as gold or silver but it has its own unique properties. - Avoid using harsh chemicals on your jewelry. These can cause damage to the stone and make it less effective in its ability to work for you.
- Avoid using sharp objects on your jewelry, especially when cleaning it. Sharp objects can scratch or crack the stone causing it to become dull and not as strong as before.
- Store your crystal jewelry in a safe place where they will be protected from heat, humidity and sunlight that may harm them over time.
- Do not wear your crystal jewelry while exercise. Your sweat creates a chemical reaction making it looked blemished or stained.
- Avoid exposure to certain harsh chemicals or environments which will result in compromising the integrity of your jewelry. This includes, but is not limited to the following: perspiration, perfumes, cleaning agents, chlorine, salt water, and silver polish.
- Before you put on your gold plated jewelry, make sure to wait a few minutes so that your lotion or cream has dried. This will help prevent blemishes on your jewelry.
- When applying perfume or cologne, make sure to spray it on your body and not on your jewelry. If you use perfume on a regular basis, apply it before putting on your gold plated jewelry. Perfume may react with the metal, causing it to look tarnished or stained.
- Gold plated jewelry should be stored in a plastic bag and sealed to avoid tarnishing and scratches. Additionally, only one piece of jewelry per bag will keep it from scratching and in top condition, be sure to store it in a sealed plastic bag.The lack of oxygen in the bag will help keep the gold plated jewelry bright and shiny.
